Hey!

Hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to the next round of the Sunan Weekly Roundup!

What we are working on:

This week, we released another great article titled “5 Tips to Become a Better Social Media Influencer.

One of the main reasons why people want to become top social media influencers is because of the oh-so-amazing lifestyle they lead with constant gifts and freebies from different brands. However, being an influencer isn’t just about the glam or flashiness. There’s a lot more that goes into becoming a better influencer than most realize. So what is it that makes a good influencer, and how can you become better at it?

Check out the article for the 5 tips that you absolutely must follow if you want to become a better influencer! I can’t stress how important tip number 2 is – be authentic!

My biggest takeaway this week: Focus on the Gain, not the Gap

It’s so easy to get trapped in the never-ending race of life and business, that we naturally start feeling hopeless because we are not reaching our true potential and destination fast enough.

No matter how much effort you put in, the light at the end of the tunnel can’t get here fast enough! Personally, this is something that I have struggled with as well. I often found myself comparing where I am to where I need to be. And no matter how much progress I made, I would never feel a sense of accomplishment because I have not reached the peak of the mountain.

This is the mistake that many of us make. But guess what, the solution is simple. Focus on the gain, not the gap!

Rather than getting all worked up and depressed over how much we still have left to accomplish, let’s take a moment and be grateful for how much we have accomplished.

You, my friend, have come a long way. The current version of you is much stronger and resilient than the January 1st version of you. Focus and be grateful for the milestones and gains you have made. Be thankful for the opportunities that came your way and the ones you maximized on.

You are much stronger than you give yourself credit for. Strong enough to take on the rest of your goals!

Now, to help you tackle the rest, here are two tips you should focus on to minimize the distractions of life:

  1. Focus on your Prolific Quality Output – As Brendon Burchard mentions in High-Performance Habits, “High performers have mastered the art of prolific quality output (PQO). They produce more high-quality output than their peers over the long term, and that is how they become more effective, better known, more remembered. They aim their attention and consistent efforts toward PQO and minimize any distractions (including opportunities) that would steal them away from their craft” (Burchard, 2017). Focus on what will move the needle for you and your business.
  2. Focus on your Demarcation Line – The first of every month is your demarcation line. Take this opportunity to set your goals for what you must accomplish by the end of the month. This is an opportunity to revisit your dreams and break them down into bite-size weekly chunks.

It’s that simple, by focusing on these two techniques, you will reach that end of the tunnel in no time.

Now it’s your turn: Give yourself permission to feel good about all the gains you have made and follow the two simple tips to minimize the gap.
