My biggest takeaway this week: Content Creation Is Your Competitive Edge

 

Did you know that according to a study, nearly 627,000 businesses are opened up in the United States alone. Even crazier than that is nearly 595,000 businesses close every year as well. According to the Small Business Association (SBA), 51% of businesses don’t last more than 5 years!

So how do you stand out? How do you standout from the rest but also give yourself an edge in providing real value and making a difference. The answer is content creation. Content creation was once considered a luxury but now is an absolute requirement. Through content creation, you can continue to provide value to your customers without always ‘selling’ to them. Many businesses make the mistake of only communicating to their customers when they are selling to them.

So what types of content creation should we create? TONS! Some examples include social media contents, creating blogs and articles, video production, podcastings, webinars, training platforms and more. The bigger goal and objective is to constantly communicate with your customer base and provide genuine value.

This is something that I am focusing on as well at Sunan. Our strategy has been to release a social media posting daily, produce a quality blog content on a weekly basis, produce a comprehensive guide every month, and start producing weekly video content very soon 🙂

By tapping and using content creation, we can help stand out amongst the crowd and become an organization that really makes a difference and provides real value.
