Maximize the Top of the Funnel

This week we released another amazing blog titled “Why you should claim your practice’s Google My Business Page”.

The medium of social media has been expanding at a rapidly increasing pace day by day. People’s perceptions of things are evolving due to the rapid and widespread implementation of these technologies. Therefore, if you’re running a business, having an online presence is essential for your success. Having a strong online presence helps you sell more and lets you build and sustain a reputation in the industry.

Today’s businesses require targeted Google exposure. Many companies realize the importance of Google ads but unfortunately, many miss out on Google My Business.

Here is a crazy stat: 56% of local retailers still need to claim their Google My Business listing. In addition, nearly two-thirds haven’t claimed a business listing on Yelp and over 82% have not claimed a business listing on Bing!

Before you read any further, do your business a favor and make sure you have claimed your business on Google!

My biggest takeaway this week: Maximize the Top of the Funnel

One of the things I enjoy the most at Sunan Designs is having the opportunity to learn about the marketing challenges businesses are facing and create ideas together that can help pivot their business in a better direction.

Over the past week, I had the opportunity to conduct a few demo sessions with a number of different organizations working across different industries. Across the board, most companies are focused on the final transaction. Their strategies are focusing on making the sale versus focusing on providing value to their customers. This strategy has them missing out on the potential customers and clients they could draw in had they focused on the top of the funnel a little bit more.

When a business focuses on providing value to their customers at every level, they naturally draw in more customers and make more sales. Customers flock towards companies that provide them value. They find comfort in these companies, which builds their trust in your brand and eventually turns them into loyal customers.

Focusing on the top of the funnel is one of the highest yielding investments you can make for your business. So what are some things that you could do to maximize the top of the funnel? Here is a handy graphic we put together for your reference. Save this to help you create valuable top-of-the-funnel content in the future.

Again, the goal for top of the funnel content is to increase awareness and boost engagement with your company. The more value you can provide your audience during this stage, the more likely they will want to stay engaged with you and do business with you.

What does your weekly social media content strategy look like? Keep in mind, the businesses that are the most successful are the ones that build and cultivate relationships, and are not just focused on making the dollar.
