Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors.

Author: Sajjad Husain

Hey there! I hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to the next round of the Sunan Weekly Roundup!

What Are We Working On

This past week at Sunan, we’ve navigated some heavy waters — shifting timelines, client revisions, and campaign pivots that didn’t go as planned at first glance. But it’s in these exact moments that our team sharpened its edge.

  • We redesigned an entire fundraising campaign in under 48 hours — and it outperformed the original by 26%.

  • Our strategy team tackled a brief that was vague and turned it into a bold pitch — the kind that opens doors.

  • And we onboarded two new clients who came to us because of how we handled pressure and made clarity out of chaos.

Growth doesn’t happen in calm. It happens in the stretch, the storm, and the adjustment.

My Biggest Takeaway: “Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors.”

This week reminded us that easy projects don’t teach us much. It’s the unexpected detours, last-minute shifts, and tough client calls that mold our team. These are the waves that train us — not to avoid the storm, but to sail right through it.

At Sunan, we don’t just celebrate smooth journeys.
We value the ones that tested our grit, strengthened our process, and taught us to lead with patience and power.

Here’s to becoming better sailors — one wave at a time.

Time to Level Up!
