Stop Slowing Yourself Down With The Details

Hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to the next round of the Sunan Weekly Roundup!

What we are working on:

This week, we have two amazing updates we want to share with you!

First, we released another great blog post titled “How To Solve Problems For Your Clients.” This is a very important topic that we wanted to share with you, the Sunan community.

As entrepreneurs and marketers, we can easily get so busy promoting our own brands and making sure that we’re active on all our social media channels. While putting out content, we run the risk of forgetting the most important people for our brand – our clients. It’s ultimately our job and responsibility to help solve their problems. Follow this simple 4-step method for providing the best customer service ever.

Secondly, this week, we dropped an incredible guide titled “Best Practices For Growing Facebook & Instagram Followers.” With over 2.7 billion users on Facebook, and another billion on Instagram, these are two social media networks where your business absolutely needs to be present.

However, a strong social media presence is nothing without a strong following, and since Facebook and Instagram aren’t that keen on letting you get that for free, we are here to help!

In this guide, you will be introduced to 10 expert-approved tactics to grow a massive following on both channels. Be sure to check this out and level up your social media game!

My biggest takeaway this week: Stop Slowing Yourself Down With The Details

I’m going to be very honest, this is something that I have personally struggled with. As entrepreneurs and marketers, it’s so easy to get lost in the details and lose sight of the bigger picture.

It’s almost as if when the pressure starts rising, we start defaulting to being perfectionist and focusing on the smallest level of detail rather than focusing on the big picture.

Determining the roundness of a button in your weekly email campaign is not going to move the needle in your business! And to be honest, I am very guilty of all the above!

Rather, what we need to do is trust our teams and the processes that we have put into place. Yes, it’s definitely easier said than done but trust me, it’s something that needs to happen.

As entrepreneurs, it’s so easy to think that I am one that has all the answers.

I am the one that can see the task falling through the cracks.

I am the one that can see the mistake that is about to unfold

Yes, it may be true to an extent but you must allow your team to learn from their mistakes in order to grow as a person and as a business.

Here are three simple tricks:

  1. Stop seeking perfection: As Brendon Burchard has so eloquently said, “At some point we have to be mature and honest with ourselves and stop saying, it’s because I’m so perfect that this isn’t done and say actually, maybe it’s because I’m lazy or maybe it’s because I’m letting the world distract me and rip me away from my passions and my day, because I haven’t taken control over my time or over the responsibilities I have and arrange them so I can focus on my real passions, real desires and dreams.”
  2. Don’t sweat the small stuff: Stop stressing over the details! If you are spending sleepless nights worrying the color of a button on your email campaign, you my friend are way in the weeds!
  3. Learn to delegate: We all need to learn to trust our team and loosen the grip a little.

Always remember, you cannot become world class at anything until you become that tide that collectively lifts everyone up.

Now it’s your turn: Stop slowing yourself down with the details, rather learn to focus on the bigger picture. Always remember, time is not refundable, use it strategically.

Time to level up!
