This week, we have two amazing updates we want to share with you!

My biggest takeaway this week: Stop Slowing Yourself Down With The Details
I’m going to be very honest, this is something that I have personally struggled with. As entrepreneurs and marketers, it’s so easy to get lost in the details and lose sight of the bigger picture.
It’s almost as if when the pressure starts rising, we start defaulting to being perfectionist and focusing on the smallest level of detail rather than focusing on the big picture.
Determining the roundness of a button in your weekly email campaign is not going to move the needle in your business! And to be honest, I am very guilty of all the above!
Rather, what we need to do is trust our teams and the processes that we have put into place. Yes, it’s definitely easier said than done but trust me, it’s something that needs to happen.
As entrepreneurs, it’s so easy to think that I am one that has all the answers.
I am the one that can see the task falling through the cracks.
I am the one that can see the mistake that is about to unfold
Yes, it may be true to an extent but you must allow your team to learn from their mistakes in order to grow as a person and as a business.
Here are three simple tricks:
- Stop seeking perfection: As Brendon Burchard has so eloquently said, “At some point we have to be mature and honest with ourselves and stop saying, it’s because I’m so perfect that this isn’t done and say actually, maybe it’s because I’m lazy or maybe it’s because I’m letting the world distract me and rip me away from my passions and my day, because I haven’t taken control over my time or over the responsibilities I have and arrange them so I can focus on my real passions, real desires and dreams.”
- Don’t sweat the small stuff: Stop stressing over the details! If you are spending sleepless nights worrying the color of a button on your email campaign, you my friend are way in the weeds!
- Learn to delegate: We all need to learn to trust our team and loosen the grip a little.
Always remember, you cannot become world class at anything until you become that tide that collectively lifts everyone up.
Now it’s your turn: Stop slowing yourself down with the details, rather learn to focus on the bigger picture. Always remember, time is not refundable, use it strategically.
